Training for teachers of Drama
Great Oaks Education are specialists in the delivery of teacher training in the creative arts. Below is a list of our current courses for Drama and Performing Arts teachers.
This course is aimed at NQT’s and teachers of Drama within their early years. This engaging and inspiring day will develop your practice in the classroom, equip you with excellent resources and supply effective strategies to ensure excellence when teaching Drama.
The focus of this course will be to optimise the chances of students achieving grades 8 and 9 (A and A*) in GCSE Drama by providing challenging material and setting high expectations through excellent planning and resources. The course is aimed at all teachers of GCSE Drama and will cover key aspects from the AQA and Edexcel exam boards.
This course is for Heads, and aspiring Heads of Creative Arts Departments. You will learn new ways to drive excellent teaching and learning, lead your team to success, raise the profile of your subject throughout the school and ultimately lead your department to attain outstanding results.
The focus of this course will be on fully embracing the GCSE Drama Written Exam to access higher grades and optimum progress.
This course will build your skills and confidence as a Drama teacher enabling you to teach ‘Outstanding’ lessons.
This course will give you a solid understanding of ‘Good Practice’ when managing behaviour in the classroom. It has been designed to cater for the specific needs of the creative arts classroom where more practical tasks are common.
